We are thrilled to join with many other regional facilities to offer the opportunity for 3.5 and 4.0 teams to compete in a Grand Championship event! You will see this advertised on social media as a "Golden Ticket" event- this is NOT a National Qualifier in any way, but it is an exciting combination of regional facilities.
The Regional "Golden Ticket" Grand Championships will be held at Slippery Rock University on Sept. 27-28. It is only 4 miles from the Interstate and is centrally located between all the other facilities.

This is a Mixed Doubles Shootout- must find your own partner.

Ed Myer Complex (450 - 524 Allen St, Titusville, PA 16354)
Outdoor facility (6 courts with painted lines).
Time
10:00 am start time 3.5 and 4.0 Divisions. Registration and warm ups begin at 9:30 am. (PLEASE ****arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start time).
Cost
$35 per person. Everyone is required to register and pay online. If you have not fully paid for your registration by the registration deadline, we will move a team from the waitlist into your spot.

You are only guaranteed a t-shirt if registered by the end of the day 9/1/25. Once you register, please fill out this
Google Form so we have your t-shirt size. Registering by 9/1/25 will guarantee you the correct t-shirt size on the day of the tournament.

Ball
Franklin X-40 ball (yellow) will be used for all divisions. We will provide brand new balls to be used for the shootout.
Paddles
Only USAPA approved paddles are allowed. Any paddles currently on the approved list are accepted.
Nets
Semi-Permanent (Douglas cabled nets)
Food / Drink
We ask that you bring your own water bottle. We will have water available to refill water bottles at the outdoor courts. Bottled water will be provided as well. Feel free to bring your own sports drinks.
Please bring any snacks that you may want while you are playing. We will bring in pizza toward the end of the event.

Restrooms available near the pickleball courts.
Playing Format
Round robin followed by semifinal and final matches. We will award medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each division. Check your division page for details.
For games to 15, teams will switch sides when either team reaches 8 points. For games to 11, teams will switch sides when either team reaches 6 points.
Each team will be allowed one timeout per game (one minute).
All other IFP/USAPA Rules will be in effect.
Referees
There will not be referees during the matches. You will referee your own matches. We expect good sportsmanship at all times in this area.
Guidelines for calls: line calls should be made by team receiving the ball, and should only be called out if the ball is clearly seen as out. If a player is unsure of the call, they should assume the ball was in, and continue playing. If the hitting team sees a ball out, they can also call it out on themselves. Either team can make calls on service faults or non-volley zone faults, and the hitting team is expected to call faults on themselves or their partner.
We appreciate your help to make this event a fun experience. If there are any problems, players involved may be disqualified from participating in future Titusville YMCA events.
